How to Use Essential Oils?

Essential Oils are nature's best kept secrets packed in a tiny amber bottle. We are often asked, "What is the best way to use essential oils?" Well, there are plenty!

Essential Oils can be used in multiple ways. From skin therapies to aromatherapy, these concentrated oils have multiple benefits. Let's look at these in detail.

1. Aromatherapy

Lavender, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Lemon Grass, Tea Tree are examples of few aromatic essential oils. You tan take a few drops of these essential oils and mix them with water. You can then place the oil and water mix on a traditional ceramic or terra cotta diffuser that works with a tea light candle. 

The candle beneath slowly warms the oil and water mix releasing fragrant vapours that can elevate your mood, refresh you and clear your mind.

It would be a great idea to use this in office spaces, bathrooms & spas.

Aroma Oil Diffuser

Lavander Essential Oil is known as a major stress buster. Few drops can help you relax and calm your mind. Patchouli Essential Oils are used a lot in manufacturing perfumes and have a distinct calming aroma. 


2. Skin Application

It is important to know, that it is advisable not to use essential oils directly on to the skin. It is ideal to mix essential oils with carrier oils like Jojoba Oils, Olive Oil or Coconut Oils and then apply on to the skin. To use it directly, you can take just a few drops in your palm, rub them and spread it on to your palms, wrists and arms. 

Essentials Oils also have anti inflammatory properties. Once applied on to the skin, within 20 minutes, it gets metabolised and takes its effect over the body. 

Essential Oils are also often ingested and added to foods for extra flavouring. However, ingestion of essential oils should only be done under the guidance and prescription of a practicing medical doctor.
